Mobile Bay peeee uuuuuuu!!!!!

Wow, never had that issue while I was on ships. We had great crews, trained, great repair faciliities. Can you say PEEEE UUUUUUUU as the Carnival Triumph pulls into MOBILE BAY? I can swear I see brown streeks rolling down the side of the white hulled ship, and why not? Angry asses on the side of the railings and let her rip. Get even for the heartache. Ok, Mobile Alabama shipdock workers. You wanted more job security, here it goes. Bags and bags full of it. But here is what's gonna happen. It will be the poor Filipino crew on board, that carries the brunt of all this stink. The Americans unionized dockworkers will all get on board the vessel with their hard hats, bio equipment, masks, resperators, and boots, gloves, with all kinds of fancy expensive gear, do alot of talking and nothing getting accomplished as usual. Pass the buck. And demand the big bucks. And in the end, it will probably be the cheap labor crew members on board that do all the scrubbing and cleaning. There is some truth to when they say "SHIT ROLLS DOWNHILL". And in the mean time. I am glad I am not downwind of that ship pulling into Mobile Bay today.

I don't quite get it all with this putting crap in plastic bags. They could have made makeshift portajohns. Do the old fashion way, dump in a bucket full of sea water, and then throw it overboard. Use a firehose to wash away debris left behind. Sea water will get rid of bacteria. For starters, any plastics overboard is a no no. Crud is or shouldn't be a problem. The salt dissolves alot of things except for plastics. Now, you got plastic bags all over the darned ship full of crud, some poor bastad will have to pick up. Or like go to the anchor chute and use that as a latrine for the men, how easy can that be? Have a crew member dump sea water down the chute every half hour or spray it down with a fire hose. Maybe with all the scrutiny and your ship plastered all over the media, anything like crud overboard may just add to the agony. Then it will be POOR FISH and how unsanitary the caribbean will become. I got news for you. Ever been to Manila Bay? Guess where all the sewage gets dumped to? You want to go swimming in that bay? And that's probably 90 percent of any major port city.
Imagine the honey mooners trying to make out on the Carnival Triumph? "Comon honey, lets go down to the room." Answer......"Lets NOT go to the room, it be real wrank down there. By the way, I'll be giving you divorce papers the minute this floating crud depository lands in Mobile."

Well, suddenly this type of scenario becomes the great equalizer. It don't matter how much you earn, what you do for a living, what your status in life may be but when the lights go out in the middle of the Gulf, the fun and games are over. Basic instincts take over, like providing for food, finding a place to sleep, or whatever you must do to survive, or cope with a situation. Almost like KATRINA and New Orleans in a confined area that floats. Or a floating Superdome during Katrina. Imagine, going on a cruise to have fun only to get stuck out at sea with no power to do anything like a simple toilet flush. That must have sucked. Suddenly grandma is up against Mr. T for a piece of that cheese.
I'd be pissed off if I were one of those passangers. Somehow, 500 dollars doesn't seem so adequate for all the pain and suffering. Who would want to take a voucher for another cruise ship after that ordeal? Would you? I wonder how many people may lose their jobs because of not getting back on time? Always got to consider Murphy's Law. I understand rolling with the flow but this is pretty bad. At least nobody got killed or maimed.

When I first read the story I was baffled about how bad things were . BUT then I saw interviews on Bloomberg and the majority of people were saying it wasn't that bad. Some even said that the FULL refund and a additional $500USD was fair..

Ok, but whom where they interviewing? I am sure an unemployed individual with no real hurry to get home may think 500 bucks is the jack pot, but someone that earns more than 500 bucks per day is actually LOSING money. Like self employed people or professionals. I bet if you took a poll, the majority of the people were very unhappy about it.
