Yeah, drips ahoy on the floor. At first, I thought it was from when I transferred a (mostly sealed) pan of coolant there. Then I thought it was from the bottle I used to top it off (the one time it leaked right in front of me was the one time I happened to decide to buy some more to top off the radiator. Now I know why I needed to). No obvious sweet smell, but my sense of smell honestly kind of sucks at times, and whatever I may have smelled I probably attributed to it being a 20 year old car. There was a bit of windshield fogging, though!

Had to remove the passenger seat to change it without being a contortionist. Still took a lot of work to figure out what I was supposed to do next at most steps, but I eventually got it. Also had to take the alternator and its mounting bracket out to get to the hoses on the other side of the firewall. Forgot to install that little harness that tells the darn thing to charge, so at first I was wondering why my lights were so dim and the fan very weak.

My new one is pure aluminum, so hopefully that will help. The other one had this copper tone to it, but you would think that after 20 years it would oxidize and be totally green if it actually were copper. I don't know.
