EAU = Eau Claire, Wisconsin about 100 miles due east of the Twin Cities (MSP) on highway I94 easy 2 hour road trip.

In yesteryear North Central Airlines flew a DC-3 from MSP to ORD -
First stop was EAU = Eau Claire
next was WAU = Wausau
then STE = Stevens Point
then MTW = Manitowoc
then MKE = Milwaukee
and ORD = Chicago
with the return trip it was an all day event.
