I just used them to take people along. It was just too difficult to try to get people to grasp the process. I also had a bad experience when my sister gave some passes to her in-laws without my knowledge.Quote:

I used to use death threats and told them I would hunt them down if they messed up my pass privileges. The one thing I didn't like and still don't like about Delta's buddy pass policy is the employee or retiree can get punished if the buddy pass flyer screws up. I don't think we should have to police what they do. For the most part they are adults and should be responsible for their own actions.
I've never, ever had a problem with "buddy passes", because only my " buddies" use them.
I only allow family (and a couple friends I consider to be family) to use them.
It's gotten to the point where I've always got quite a few left over when they expire. Kind of a shame but what ya gonna do?
If my daughter decides to quit Skywest to take care of her children, she can use them to come and see us.

You got it!!! http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...>/rolleyes.gif
Look, I'm not advocating selling your passes...not by any means! But, is it really a shocker that some of the hundreds of thousands of airline employees who have seen their paychecks steadily declining would resort to such tactics. Hardly. Buddy passes have always bothered me...it's just more competition when traveling on other carriers. http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...DIR#>/wink.gif
