Until June 23rd, if my wife and I travel on a Delta flight operated by Northwest (ex. ATL to HNL on a NW 747), who do we list with? DL or NW. If it's a NW flight, NW employees would get on first, but will not be upgraded unless $$ is paid. If it's Delta, NW employees would be after all DL , but moving up front is free.

This is kind of a grey area, however, I've been on cross-fleeted flights, so I've learned how it works.
It basically depends on the hub from which/to which the flight goes. A NW 747 going HNL-ATL as DL802 is considered a DL flight. In this instance, you list with DL and are upgraded for free, but behind DL employees even though it's a NW A/C. A DL 767 going from SEA-AMS as NWXXX is considered a NW flight. Listing would be made with NW, NW employees will be upgraded for a fee, and DL employees CANNOT upgrade, even though it's a DL A/C. Now if that exact same A/C turns around in AMS and heads to JFK, it will be operating a DL flight with DL rules.
It comes down to the hub, if the flight is headed to DTW, its a NW FLIGHT regardless of what the captains ID says. If the flight is headed to ATL, it's a DL flight.

I don't believe that is correct--the DL ID my husband carries does not allow him to fly any NW aircraft. Code share is not the same in this instance. If the flight is operated by NW it follows NW rules until June 23. There is one particular 75 flight that operates CVG/DTW/JFK daily (at least it did last few months) and it is DL operated and follows all DL procedures whether it departs CVG or DTW. It does not change status in DTW.
Yeah, I'm not so sure about that either, ColoAvs19... when looking at RADAR (NW's employee site) I can look up loads for ATL-HNL (747) but not MSP-CDG (Delta flight, guessing 767). If you can look up the aircraft, I think that's the best indicator of who to list for and everything (the only common one is the 757). That could be different on the regional carriers... I see that Mesaba has a few new flights with Delta-marked planes, namely the Saabs (anyone fly in one of them before? They're so horrible it's fun http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...#>/biggrin.gif )

I heard that we are in for a not so good change. Right now we get the exact same benefits as our parent-NW. The rumor is that we will just get the same benefits as a DL connection carrier, like Skywest. I don't know how that is but they say it is not as good as we have it now.
I also heard there is an anuual fee for DL nonrev? That bites if true!

It's easy to get your buddy pass people to cover it as a thank-you for sharing your privileges

Until the systems merge for June, that's the way it is. I can't list for common carriers unless the flight belongs to DL--if not I have to list on NW

I think the one thing that blew me away about the prev NW policy was that NW execs had a higher priority than other employees when it came to personal travel! I think there had to be a balance of bennies and both mainline groups got good bennies and some of the conx got less than that (being polite with the wording...)
I've already said what I must about the new pass policy.
As far as the DL/NW crossfleeting: First, there are codeshares, and there is crossfleeting. Code share would be like DL602/NW7856 ATL-DEN. This would be a DL flight on DL metal from ATL. When in comes to DL hub to NW hub, that could be confusing, but there is no crossfleeting between hubs. That would go by A/C type. CVG-DTW-JFK would be a DL flight from a DL hub CVG-DTW, and a DL flight to a DL hub DTW-JFK. There are flights like ATL-BWI-SLC(making that flight up, but flights do go from a hub, run through an outstation, and continue onto another hub)
Now, I'm sure RADAR/DLnet have some trigger that shows up with what they think are their own flights, I'm sure it's a little glitch.
It doesn't matter what DLnet says, it matters what the res computer at the gate says, and DL flights from outstations to DL hubs on NW aircraft are handled in DLmatic as DL flights. NW flights to NW hubs on DL aircraft are handled on PARS as NW flights. (having recently took over NW ops, I have access to DLmatic(the DL res system), and PARS(the NW res system).
I looked up DTW-LHR today in DLmatic at work. I forget the DL flight number, due to legal constraints it must have a DL flight number, and it will show up as a flight in DLmatic; however, looking in detail, it has ZERO seats available and ZERO seats sold. Again, forget flight numbers, but looking in PARS, it shows up as a regular NW flight with a logical amount of seats sold, and the rest available.
DL802/NW5802 HNL-ATL. I traveled on this flight a few weeks ago. I listed with DL. I watched the agents work with the DLmatic res system. I checked loads. DL802 in DLmatic had like 350 seats sold and 53 seats available. NW5802 in PARS had ZERO seats available and ZERO seats sold. I checked in at the DL kiosk, used a priority of S3, was given a DL seat request and eventually cleared for the upper deck and was given a DL boarding pass. Upon checking the list, I was very close to the top with my S3 priority. There were plenty of people below me on a priority of SNWA. I rode in F class, as this DL flight followed DL policies. This was, from a marketing/res standpoint, a DL flight, no question.
I don't mean to seem too pushy, but if the flight is going from DTW-Europe, that is a NW FLIGHT no matter which airline operates it. Same as you have a DL FLIGHT 5544 operated by ASA. Same deal, this is 2 ASA pilots and an ASA FA on an ASA airplane operating a DL FLIGHT. HNL-ATL or NRT-ATL has a NW crew on a NW 744 operating a DL FLIGHT.
It's a marketing thing.
And DL crews cannot operate NW aircraft, NW crews cannot operate DL aircraft. But NW crews can operate NW aircraft on flights that are called and sold as DL flights, same as any connection carrier can operate its own aircraft on flights that are called and sold as DL flights.

I didn't argue the DL HNL flight--that's exactly what it should be (it's convenience/marketing for NW customers to give it a NW number but of course it isn't on NW list because it's DL)I realize DL owns all the metal but the metal is operated by 2 diff companies right now (I'm not that blonde!! ha). I tried to get ideas to connect HKG w/out taking NW all the way and it was the darndest thing--I went all the way thru miles of flight opitons to encounter DL flights waaaaaaay down the list on what could have been page 100 of flight scenarios. I was fascinated by the partner options offered too. I guess your'e used to poking around the res stuff, but I don't get that priv so I get to see what the revs see on the websites often enuff.

I said pilots ID because the uniforms are all the same now. I can't tell a NW pilot apart from a DL pilot without seeing their ID.
I haven't used the NW site. I know I hate the NW res system. When I have to reroute pax, or when looking for myself, I check schedules on the DL system, and if I want a NW flight, I then go into the NW system to check availability. If you want to see OAL stuff, check out flyzed.com
Jumper, have you heard, are they adapting PARS to accept the DL standby priorities as of 6/23, or is 6/23 the first day that I don't have to deal with PARS anymore?

How to change your profile info
1 - click on "my controls" at the top of the "community page", right under the "forums" tab.
2 - On you "control page", look to the left under "menu" - scroll down to "personal profile"
3 - Under "personal profile" is "edit profile information", click on that
Now you should see your profile info. Just make the changes you want and click "amend" at the bottom of the page.

I can't wait to be done with PARS, I'm sure you feel the opposite.
ZED fare? ZEDs are kind of pricey. A zone 1 with tax ends up being $40.50(they went up a few months ago). That would be like PHL-DTW. ATL-PHL is in zone 2 which is like $55 one way. Is there going to be a nonstop SEA-CDG? If so, that would be probably zone 8-10 and cost about $160 each way w/o tax. ZED is per segment, so SEA-CVG-CDG would be like $90+$140 for one way.
If your looking at the yield fare, that is one way. Domestic r/t w/taxes is usually about 2.5X the fare shown. Add int'l taxes, and it can go up quick. A buddy pass to FRA would be more expensive right now than a confirmed seat. And buddy pass fares are GOING UP!
Vulindlela I'm not certain if this will change. Currently DL mainline, DLtech, and Comair pay $50/account/year to have pass travel benefits activated. ASA, Skywest, and the other non owned conx carriers pay $50/pass traveler/year, capped at $200(or so). So, a Comair emp with a spouse, 2 parents and 2 dependent children would pay $50. An ASA emp with a spouse would pay $100(50 for emp, 50 for spouse) ASA emp with a spouse and 2 kids would be $200. ASA emp with a spouse, 2 parents, and 6 kids would pay $200 because its capped.

That is for the AF nonstop flight.
Going on DL would be more because you have to connect somewhere.

Yes it would be cheaper on DL/NW. It would be free plus taxes, which were about $61 when we went last year.
Strange... I was looking up MSP-CDG in RADAR (not PARS) and after a certain date, it does show up. However, it shows an empty flight, indicating that it's just a placeholder or something. The exception to this one is on 5/25, where there are 2 people booked? Strange... (oh, and it was weird seeing 767 as the aircraft type, haven't had that in PARS before...)
What will delta's policy be for non-dependent children? I am a 25 year old non-dependent son of a NW, now DL pilot. I understand changes go into effect June 23, but what will those changes be for non-dependents?
You will be eligible for unlimited space avail reduced rate yield fare tkts (S3B) You can upgrade to S3 when traveling w/employee.. Just a tad better than you have now, eh? Celebrate!! And save your $$ Those YF's are not cheap...but the alternative can be much more!

Yea, I made it. I was the first nonrev to clear in Y(a couple got F) on the Skywest CR9 SEA-SLC. On Skywest, I'm S3C. I listed for the SLC-ATL redeye, but it was oversold, so I also listed SLC-JFK. With my S3, I was number 1, but the flight was checked in right at capacity. The crowd has boarded, and here come the stragglers. The gate agents told me to hang on 90 seconds. About 85 seconds later, here comes the last one. So I went to the ATL gate. I was about number 5. There were 4 S3s above me, a few below me, about 15S3Bs, 5-6S3Cs and a few buddy passes. You have until 30 minutes before departure to list, checkin, or change your priority. I decided to use an S2. This put me to number 1. Everyone boarded, we waited a couple minutes, and this time nobody ran up at the last second. I was the only nonrev to get on, middle seat on an ex-TWA 757. I particularly enjoy the middle seat. I got more sleep on my 3 hour layover in ATL then on the 4 hour flight. Then the CRJ bulkhead to MDT.

there are circumstances that if employee designates travel companion (not spouse or live-in) then parents have reduced bennies
when my fiance wanted me to be his designated TC, his father got lesser bennies, with me paying for my yield fare tickets
his father didn't want to travel much anyway w/out confirmed seats
worked fine for everyone--then we got married and his bennies went back up (his GF got one buddy pass, which she usually wasted because hubby's dad refused to try standby)
