Thread: Stafftravel on Qatar

I just recently travelled as non-QR staff though DOH. They indeed keep travelling staff reappearing to the transfer desks over and over again. It's either "maybe" or "now flight is closed". The worst standby handling I encountered through the last 11 years. Luckily LH flight had own ground staff at the gate that did wait for the flight to close and handling the staff topics directly at the gate at flight time.

If you get stranded at DOH please prepare for an unwelcoming airport in terms of facilities and support. If you want to get out of the airport you may have to pay for VISA approval first.

I will certainly put DOH on the black list for standby travel for myself.

That being said the flights on QR were excellent and staff handling for QR on other airports was smooth.
