Yeah, I had seen an open firearm at Ikea in Colorado. Couldn't stop starting at it, definitely strange.

That said, how are you in touch enough with the rest of the world that you are taking an airplane somewhere, but still think it's ok to bring a gun on a plane? That's flying 101 right there. And if they forgot they had a weapon, they really don't sound responsible enough to have one.
