I can believe that. I remember having to change out some boxes for the life vest because they figured that the new pouches to be used instead saved the aircraft some 90 pounds. (All 200 seats and change.) Would you believe that happy horse crap coming from an engineer that said this proudly? And of course, she wasn't the one changing out the boxes. She saved 90 pounds and I lost 90 pounds changing them out through the span of some 4 planes to be swapped over with these stupid pouches with razzle dazzle security tabs interlaced like spahgetti.
