Default TSA PreCheck Arrives at JAX, OAK

The Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck Program has arrived at JAX and OAK.TSA PreCheck allows select frequent travelers to go through security screening faster. Members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler programs, including Global Entry, Sentri and Nexus are automatically qualified to participate, and Canadian citizens traveling domestically in the United States who are members of Nexus also qualify for TSA PreCheck.
At JAX, the program includes those flying on AA,DL, UA and US.
“As TSA continues to move away from a one-size-fits-all approach to transportation security, we are looking for more opportunities to provide the most effective security in the most efficient way possible,” says Ed Goodwin, federal security director for the TSA in JAX. “The TSA PreCheck program gives us that opportunity.”

Pre-check, Post-check, either way you slice it. These peckercheckers will check it all.

We just used GE @ PDX on return from Asia. The line was terrible--2 people using 2 kiosks--it must have taken at least 2 mins to clear.
I miss not having Precheck at transit areas, tho --we nearly forgot to remove shoes (we've been very spoiled w/PC) These are great additions to previous government procedures. I can't imagine anyone not appreciating such major improvements to clearing security and immigration/customs. Free for PC and minimal investment for GE. But, then again, some people thrive on obstination [vs intelligence and common sense].
I plan to go to JFK, then layover and fly thru JFK to BCN later this week. Precheck will save plenty of anxiety, as well as time to clear to the terminal. GE at JFK is such a great benefit arriving back in the US--those lines can be quite daunting. I think they have almost dozen GE kiosks to handle the influx. I have no issues w/TSA using this benefit. Agents have been very friendly and efficient in the past few months. I guess some people present as negative or questionable...

Crazy as this sounds, but ATL only has 2 (GE) in E and 6 in F Con. They need to double that amount...

I didn't notice the shortfall last time we went because there weren't a ton of flights arriving when we did. I totally agree that 2 is not enough and 6 at F doesn't sound right, either.
