May have some misconceptions about Security.
Tickets bought by the general public in cash for a one-way trip raise security alerts (profile) !
But airline employees are not the general public !
Turning on electronic devices maybe troublesome - arming and set off destructive devices ?
Some countries and locations are more sensitive about these matters with security being tighter.
Airlines and their passengers that don't comply may cause the airline to be fined and to return
the passenger back to the country of origin at a big expense to both.
But the difference between the traveling general public and the non-revenue employees is considerable in these situations.
I am very confused by your post. What is "Security" with capital S? Do you mean TSA here?
PEDs MAY be an issue in some instances; what are you referencing?
ANY pax, rev or non are equally subject to any country's laws and procedures. Please clarify your post.
