We're visiting Alaska in July and plan on driving from Anchorage to Valdez, staying at the Prince William Sound Lodge, and then driving to Talkeetna. Anyone have suggestions as to places to see, eat at, stay at, along the way and in Anchorage?

Take your fishing poles.. July is great for fishing there. You can catch some huge Salmon during the Salmon run in July.
Just check with the locals and they will tell you where to go and when to fish. Plan on some heavy duty line and have a blast. The drive should be great and you should see some moose as well as other wild life.
