what's the mystery? aircraft?
are you connecting somewhere interesting?? c'mon--fess up--where where where??
I'm hoping to hitch a ride on the A330!!!!!
Last week And the week before both I flew ATL-HNL-ATL just to fly on the B747-400... absolutely amazing and a dream recognized. I've always wanted to sit in the nose of the B747 and I got to do just that a couple times.
And from ATL I am connecting to BOG http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...IR#>/smile.gif

CVG, since you're one of our "aircraft enthusiast" http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...DIR#>/wink.gif http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...#>/biggrin.gif , wondering if you're familiar with seatbelt-mounted airbags? A friend tells me he used them on a recent flight (row 1 - US Air A-320 ) swears he wasn't drinking.
wow, you remind me of me!
I'm heading off this sunday to fly Continental MKE-IAH-EWR-IAH-MKE to fly both the 767-200 and the 777-200!
It will be lots of fun.
CVG I can check those NW loads for you tomorrow at work, but its obviously a little later than you want.
I also went to HNL for pretty much the sole purpose of riding the 747. I, though, had always wanted to ride the upper deck. I actually went out March 31st, from SLC and took DL801 Apr 1st. The first "Delta" flight for a NW 747. It was really really sweet, and ironic, as the only thing that got me the upper deck was my employee S3 priority. S3C, I would have been on the main deck, in about 55E. It was a great day to fly back, as the 744 and 764 were both operating to ATL because there was one day of overlap, so 2 options to get back.
Mig, I rode a shiny new DL 777-200LR last week from ATL-DXB spent a day, and got the Delta Spirit back. On the 77L we have, well, delta has, the airbags in the seatbelts due to the angled config. I didn't really mind it, I was a little wierd though, as it is very rigid, it doesn't flex for about a footlong section.
I've been traveling alot lately, and I plan to keep it up until 6/23.
No flat beds yet on the 200L?? I'm hoping for our Sept trip ATL/JNB nonstop. tell me more!
Angled like sideways angled. They are full flat beds. When I first entered the cabin, the seats looked alot smaller than I had pictured. But once I sat down it was very comfy. A downside is that the footrest does not double as a seat for a dinner partner like on some other airlines. A good part about that footrest is you can put your feet up while your waiting at the gate, taxiing, etc. With the current BizElite, you'd have to have the legrest thing extended, and you can't do that untill 10K ft. Another thing is that the seat tapers off to a point just behind your head. When I lay on my back I like put put my hands under my head, but theres no room for your arms to stick out and do that. It was great to be able to sleep on my side/stomach. I slept without any disturbance for 9 straight hours. The seats were very very nice, much better than the current seats. It is not very difficult to talk to someone across the aisle from you. I was talking with a couple people while we were at the gate waiting on MTC. Now, when you end your conversation, you won't be able to get their attention again without getting up, but once you are talking, its fine. The pax behind me in the customs line said the seat was luxurious, and that he had taken Emirates J class to DXB a week ago, and the seat, service, and overall product on DL was far better.
And if I wasn't clear, I mean the seatbelt has about a footlong rigid part that doesn't flex and its about 2 inches thick, this is the airbag. It's toward the front, so a leftside window the bag is on the left, leftside aisle the bag is on the right, etc.
Very nice, very comfy seats. I can't wait to ride 1804 with the other style flatbeds. It's only going to be going to LHR. Maybe this is the time I should suck it up, pay those taxes and see London. I know the flatbeds are going to London to compete with BA, it's kind of funny though because JFK-LHR is one of the fastest TATL flights.

I had to bring the pic up to see--thought that was a barf bag in the foreground!!
Now M767 that's cold, that happens to be a napkin for my drink. http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...DIR#>/wink.gif I'll see if I can enlarge the photo.
Oh contraire mon frere--I happen to not recognize AA naps and considering the last barf bag pic I saw was holding an ipod...besides, I'm farsighted!
June 23 is when they (DL/NW) combines non-rev benefits...good for mainline folks of both carriers but the others (OH, 9E, etc;) basically all of the connection carriers, gets the shaft...S3C priority. 9E really is getting the shaft, as DL will not allow buddy passes, is only giving "3" free transoceanic travel and NO parent passes!!!! 9E employees had it ALL at NWA!!!
What's going to happen to you guys @ Comair when you become RHS? Better or worse non-rev benefits?
Worse of course. Currently we have it the exact same as mainline, because we're wholly owned. Until June 23rd I travel as an S3, and I have an alotment of S2s to use on OH and DL. After June 23rd, I am an S3C, I have the same S2s, but they can only be used on OH, CP, XJ.
When I stop working for an airline(OH) and start working for a ground handling company(RHS), the benefits will stay the same as OH. BTW, have you seen the ridiculous names that RHS is considering? http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e..._DIR#>/huh.gif
"One Great Team"...I'm glad to know I'm not a part of it...
Do you have the source for the RHS non-rev benefits? I'm torn between staying with Pinnacle (now, Delta Connection) or going over to OH, which will be RHS sometime by 3rd qtr this year. I think we are initially being told parents will pay ZED fares (no free passes), no buddy passes and limited to 3 free transocanic flights per yr..beyond those three, it's $75 per leg + taxes, which is better than nothing. What about RHS and buddy passes, parents, ZED's, transoceanic flights being limited or not?
I've read that RHS will have the exact same benefits as OH post 6/23. I'm not certain about ZED agreements because RHS is not an airline. It is wholly owned, DLtech is not an airline and they were lumped into ZED agreements before folding back into DL. Being wholly owned, I don't see why RHS shouldn't have the same ZED agreements as DL.
$75/segment. That's not much better than nothing. The economy is down, but because of capacity cuts, most domestic flights are full. If you even get on a plane, you pay $75/segment? That really is terrible. I thought travel is supposed to be NON-REVENUE. Most domestic tickets I'm seeing right now are below $300, alot below $200. I actually, last week, sold a one way 2 segment ticket for $93 inclusive of tax. $93!!! That is for a confirmed pax demanding extra peanuts and being heavily compensated if bumped. MEM-ATL-MCO-ATL-MEM would be $300 to nonrev, that is awful.
3 T/O days? Are you supposed to just stay in Europe your second trip?
I'm very upset and insulted by the changes made to my flight benefits, but strictly on flight benefits alone, I would move to OH. Just get used to Ramen Noodles and PB+J.
And keep your eyes open for that mainline job. Mainline with 30 days seniority bumps you and me.
The "$75/segment" should have read "for transoceanic travel after the free 3 tranoceanic days, we are charged $75 each way for anywhere outside of North and South America (Asia, Europe, etc;)..we have unlimited North/South America, Caribbean.... Sorry for the confusion...late night last night.
As for mainline, I miss the mainline experience! Although not with DL, another major US carrier I was employed with was mainline and it was sweet!
Just saw today where Mainline Delta is hiring upstairs in my city so I hurry and put my app in! Ready Reserve...come 23 June, the RR's will have FULL, UNLIMITED flying as S3's!!
I am with Pinnacle and so that is not bad.
My parents don't use the benefits anyway.
Three International passes a year? That is about what I use anyway.
It is not as good as before but is ok with me.
yeah, I am also. Not too much different that what we had under NWA. I am glad we get to use the dlnet to list for flights! that in itself is a hugh difference! I hope that parents and buddy passes get worked out. I usually travel international to Asia more than 3 times a year so I'll have to eat the $75 /flight day but at least we are upgraded to business and first for free so it works out just about the same. Not much to complain about.

I was confused by the 3 flight days. I had thought it was 3 round trip Intl. flights a year.
What is with the 3? Some kind of joke? You can't use the third so why not give just 2 or 4?
At least we have more destinations to choose from. I was getting tired of our same 4 European cities of AMS, LHR, CDG, and FRA.
We are told there is a way to view what Intl taxes are for different legs on Travelnet.
I don't see it though. Is this true? Where do I find it?
I think the three flight days are for eastbound journeys where one flight covers 2 days because of the time zones and all, since I remember someone saying that counts as two.
Hi, Pinnacle people. Maybe you can help me figure out something simple..unfortunately my 9E pilot son is too busy right now. I'm trying to figure out a quick way to get to DL Travelnet (the site that allows checking DL and NW schedules & loads). Right now, I only know how to get to Deltanet, and I can log in OK, and eventually find Travelnet by going into the news stories about the new pass benefits. Is there a way to get there directly? Or a button from Deltanet? I am getting to Deltanet w. this URL: dlnet.delta.com. Any sugestions?? Thans!
I just found out today that my account is no longer active (probably because I'm a former employee) but there should be a link to TravelNet up on top.
Cheers!
