I'm hoping to hitch a ride on the A330!!!!!
Last week And the week before both I flew ATL-HNL-ATL just to fly on the B747-400... absolutely amazing and a dream recognized. I've always wanted to sit in the nose of the B747 and I got to do just that a couple times.
And from ATL I am connecting to BOG

Hold tight initiating 90 degree turn

CVG, since you're one of our "aircraft enthusiast" , wondering if you're familiar with seatbelt-mounted airbags? A friend tells me he used them on a recent flight (row 1 - US Air A-320 ) swears he wasn't drinking.

I'm heading off this sunday to fly Continental MKE-IAH-EWR-IAH-MKE to fly both the 767-200 and the 777-200!

It will be lots of fun.

CVG I can check those NW loads for you tomorrow at work, but its obviously a little later than you want.

I also went to HNL for pretty much the sole purpose of riding the 747. I, though, had always wanted to ride the upper deck. I actually went out March 31st, from SLC and took DL801 Apr 1st. The first "Delta" flight for a NW 747. It was really really sweet, and ironic, as the only thing that got me the upper deck was my employee S3 priority. S3C, I would have been on the main deck, in about 55E. It was a great day to fly back, as the 744 and 764 were both operating to ATL because there was one day of overlap, so 2 options to get back.

Mig, I rode a shiny new DL 777-200LR last week from ATL-DXB spent a day, and got the Delta Spirit back. On the 77L we have, well, delta has, the airbags in the seatbelts due to the angled config. I didn't really mind it, I was a little wierd though, as it is very rigid, it doesn't flex for about a footlong section.

I've been traveling alot lately, and I plan to keep it up until 6/23.

Angled like sideways angled. They are full flat beds. When I first entered the cabin, the seats looked alot smaller than I had pictured. But once I sat down it was very comfy. A downside is that the footrest does not double as a seat for a dinner partner like on some other airlines. A good part about that footrest is you can put your feet up while your waiting at the gate, taxiing, etc. With the current BizElite, you'd have to have the legrest thing extended, and you can't do that untill 10K ft. Another thing is that the seat tapers off to a point just behind your head. When I lay on my back I like put put my hands under my head, but theres no room for your arms to stick out and do that. It was great to be able to sleep on my side/stomach. I slept without any disturbance for 9 straight hours. The seats were very very nice, much better than the current seats. It is not very difficult to talk to someone across the aisle from you. I was talking with a couple people while we were at the gate waiting on MTC. Now, when you end your conversation, you won't be able to get their attention again without getting up, but once you are talking, its fine. The pax behind me in the customs line said the seat was luxurious, and that he had taken Emirates J class to DXB a week ago, and the seat, service, and overall product on DL was far better.

And if I wasn't clear, I mean the seatbelt has about a footlong rigid part that doesn't flex and its about 2 inches thick, this is the airbag. It's toward the front, so a leftside window the bag is on the left, leftside aisle the bag is on the right, etc.

Very nice, very comfy seats. I can't wait to ride 1804 with the other style flatbeds. It's only going to be going to LHR. Maybe this is the time I should suck it up, pay those taxes and see London. I know the flatbeds are going to London to compete with BA, it's kind of funny though because JFK-LHR is one of the fastest TATL flights.

Speaking of "nice comfy seats, finally got F on the 767-300; lumbar massage feature when seat upright, fully 180 degree recline seat for my nap, great underseat storage; I was in heaven even before they brought the warm hand towels and cup of nuts.
