Brian, I have flight benefits on both United and Delta. big help when you need back up plans. Have fun with your training. With Delta we have lots of ZED agreements, not sure what there is on the United side for ZED or ID90/95. I have not used any ZED's yet. I have not been overseas using my benefits yet, went to Hawaii though. Just got my passport back from being renewed so I am ready to get overseas.Tony
Thanks! By the way, you mentioned a yearly fee in another thread... how much is that, roughly? I remember it was ~$50 when I looked through the new NW/DL combined rules, hopefully it's not too far off from that...
Brian, last I remember both Delta and United have a $200 max (plus tax) opt in fee. United is something like $50 per person (you/wife/kids/parents) and delta is $100 for 1st person and $50 for each additional person. Again remember there is a max so big families get a better deal. After the delta/nw merger they also now allow step parents also.Tony

Congratulations!
NW didn't have any registration fee of any kind, that was new after the merged policy. I'm guessing that's just a regional carrier policy. Probably pretty accurate, considering we're both working for OO.
I would guess the charges we have are the deal between Delta and Skywest. Anyways, for us the above mentioned fees are what we have to pay to fly.
Brian, I also believe that you can fly Delta connection operated by skywest flights but you would have to pay the delta fee to be able to fly those, you do not get any mainline delta benefits.

Update: In Salt Lake City for training this week. 2 days down, 3 to go. Had my major city/airline code test today, and absolutely creamed it! It was on the computer, which made things easier (multiple choice city code questions in some cases) but I got 50/50 on that. Damn, it's good to be back in the airline industry. Even if I can't fly as much as I did 2 years ago, just being able to do all of this is really exciting.
