Ooof, that's rough. And just a few years ago they were talking about how the State Department was overcharging for passport service fees. No doubt this will be passed on as a security measure of some kind... but if I say any more, I'll probably get too political ;)
Either way, I'm glad that I have ~8 more years on my passport still, and quite a few blank pages.

Boy, I am glad I just sent mine off last month. I also sent in the request form for extra pages at the same time. Just got it back in the mail. So I should be good for a little while.Tony
You should be happy with your fees.....cheap compared to Oz and NZ fees......
In Spain, 25 euros for a passport... right in hand in 20 minuts after requesting one.

spongebue, it looks like your united benfits kick in after 14 days, but you will have to pay your annual fee before you can use it. Tony
