Looking for any advice on getting out of MSP to NRT for Bkk? Seems everything is so overbooked. And getting into first/Business Class seems impossible. Any advice?

ANYWHERE to NRT this month through the first week of January is a nuthouse this month - I've have more angry Plats these past few weeks than I've had since I started Elite services...

Thanks for the advice guys. I actually looked at starting in ATL and looks like loads from there are not to bad. I'll have to check on the S3 thing. I'm confused since the merger.

I think you're the same as Comair--mainline uses S3 and you'd have S3B or C. Anyway--hope you make it up front on Delta metal--that's a nice LONG flight!!
Good luck!
Get a great massage at Ruen Orchid Spa in BKK--cheap and excellent! We did it before returning but it makes more sense to do it on arrival--or BOTH.

OK here's another crazy idea. MSP-DTW-NRT-BKK. Seems getting to DTW will be a non issue. And looks like flights out of DTW to NRT don't look as full as from MSP. Up front to NRT would be great. Me and the kids are gonna try to get to ANC on 29DEC for New Years with some friends. (Stupid question alert) Why are most flight I look at from MSP to ANC overbooked in coach and open in first? Then when I get there first is always full?

Thanks for the massage idea. Had one on a beach on Koh Chang in 2006 all I can say is....WOW.

There are Elites everywhere, especially the hubs.

Last week, I flew LAS-IND and there were only 3 booked in F, with only myself listed.
When the flight departed, I was in F and there was only one open seat left.

OK here's another idea. Just checking loads for the next few days from MSP-NRT-BKK, -30 tomorrow, -46 Weds. That's amazingly ridiculous.

Ok so then I looked down the list a bit and found this...

(I will decode if anyone lost there secret decoder ring)
MSP-PDX(+21F/+14C)
PDX-NRT(+24B/+29C)
NRT-BKK(+12B/-4C)

Not to shabby. Anybody got any reason why I wouldn't want to take that route?

Might have found a way!!!! I need some R/R really bad. Laid off from job for about 50 days so far and kids are driving me crazy!!!!

Cheers,

Skipper
