Keep'em Flying

Thanks Mig.
Unfortunately an essential ingredient in the transit visa application is the presentation of confirmed onward flight details.
I was just considering various options for some trips next year, and the flights via Doha keep popping up as possibilities. Never been there, so thought it may be an idea to visit.
Anyway long way off at the moment, so plenty of time to find someone who knows.

Update.....of sorts
After making more local enquiries in the UK and not getting very far, I contacted the immigration people at Doha.
I explained my situation, travelling without a firm booking, and my basic question was whether I could use the visa waiver facility because the rules appear to state that a confirmed onward or return ticket must be presented.
Almost a month after my initial email, I now have received the following response " Good morning. Yes, the ticket must be present. Regards etc."
I have to assume from this, that a standby (zed) ticket is good enough. This of course makes sense, however I would not like to advise others to use this as proof positive of the ability for non revs to use the visa waiver 'privilege'.
In the absence of further advice, I will plan to test this out later in the year.
Regards
Lee
