Actually a reduction of 66 seats. The 762 currently has 168 seats (10F 30J 128Y). Still, on some days it is difficult enough to snag a seat on the 762 so any reduction in capacity without a comparable increase in frequency is a. There were unconfirmed rumors that the JFK-LAX route would go to an hourly "shuttle" service between 6am & 9pm once they have enough A321s. This would be a net increase of 18 seats per day based on the current 9 762 flights today.
To a nonrev, that is a significant decrease in seats..AA/US employees capacity cut...yikes
