Wow, is there really that much demand?

Only a handful of nonrevs get on a typical 168-seat 767-200 transcon so a reduction of 100s of seats a day is very bad news. Sometimes, only crewmembers who elect to ride the jumpseat get on. The only hope we have is open seats in F since they maintained 3 classes of service. Even then, if the flight is oversold and they move people up, we will be out of luck.
I had no idea so many people flew nonstop between JFK and LAX. I would assume it would be a tough market to nonrev on just because of the international connections in both cities but you'd think that with 10 flights a day it would still be possible to get on (even with a reduction of seats). Good thing I wasn't trying to get on!
