My wife and I were going to go to the Maldives for our honeymoon last year but then 9/11 happened. It's tough to get there. My wife and I were going to go to SIN on UA and then go confirmed on SQ to MLE. The only other options are through Europe on Emirates (via FRA or MXP with a stop in Dubai), Austrian Air (via VIE) or LTA (via DUS or FRA). Good luck in getting there.
