I am traveling to Fiji Sept 13-24th from SEA via LAX and need some help.

I currently have passes on QF from LAX to SYD then on FJ from SYD to NAN.

Or have the option of going direct on FJ from LAX.

What would you suggest - price difference is about $300.

Also, I am traveling with my husband and 20 month old son. Have recieved conflicting information on weather or not I need to purchase a ticket for him. Can you help sort this out for me?

Any suggestions on must do's or things to avoid while in Fiji?

    Any info is much appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Andrea

    Hi Andrea.

FJ fly from YVR to NAN 3 x weekly - if you're in SEA, that's a good option to look at as I believe their space available on that route is always not too bad at all. The flight routes via HNL so if you can get to/from HNL easily enough with your carrier/partners then the HNL-NAN section of the YVR-NAN flight should be okay.

NZ fly nonstop from LAX to NAN as well - that may be another option for you if you have ZED agreements with NZ.

Mid September is Spring school vacation break in Oz so the flights to NAN may well be heavily booked - another consideration.

As far as the infant ticket goes, depends on the interline agreement between your carrier and the carriers you are choosing.

Not much help, but more info to chew over!
    Cheers.

September break this year runs from 10SEP-09OCT with each state staggering 2 weeks each over those times - not every state takes the same 2 weeks. NZ has 24SEP-09OCT which is the same as NSW break.
Tahiti is not one of those school break vacation spots, however. It's more the Hawaii, Fiji, Bali, Cairns, Gold Coast type destinations that seem to be popular. Coming out of winter, it's the warmer "fun in the sun" type of destinations.

Thank you for your information. I found a great deal on QF so to save the money I am going to go the round about way. Sept 13 SEA-LAX then on QF LAX-SYD arriving on the 15th. Then SYD-NAN on FJ. The same on the return on the 24th. If anyone from QF or FJ can check those flight loads for me that would be great.
    Thank You!
