We are planning a trip to Australia in July 2007. I read on ID90.com that QF has very restrictive baggage allowance for non-revs (total 20kgs?). Is this per bag or total? Can anyone tell me the fees for if we go over this allowance?

Also, any thoughts on how loads might be on or around 08Jul07 Lax-SYD and SYD-CNS on 10Jul07? Is this a good time to non-rev or is it usually packed? We'll be continuing afterwards to BKK on 19Jul07 -- do these flights tend to be full?
