    This is the first time that my husband, two daughters and I are traveling out of the United States as Nonrevs. We are planning on going from LAX to SYD on November 27, 2008 and returning December 4,5,6,7 or 8, 2008. I can check United loads and the flight from LAX to SYD looks great but it is the return trip that is not looking promising. I also have Quantas ZED tickets so I was wondering if someone could let me know what the loads look like on Quantas for those dates. Any help regarding this trip would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Firstly, Welcome to the Network & the Forums tlc.

    Most carriers will be heavy out of Oz 5-9 Dec as they are the last few days of low season airfares before High season kicks in. A lot of people get out for Xmas and the suchlike at the cheaper fare levels.
    That's not to say you won't get on, but you will find things very heavily booked for the most part. Looks like JD may have given you the skinny on QF loads over those dates already.

    FYI re flying SA on Qantas-

    You can&#39;t list on Qantas via zed, and you apparently can only list by calling Qantas. The number is only available 8:30AM to 4PM Sydney time.

    CSRs cannot or will not do list nonrevs, at least for United staff. We found this out 2 weeks ago and really had to scramble to get listed and make our flight from SYD to CNS. A big thanks to the Jetstar crew who let us use their mobile phone!
