My wife and I are non-revving from LAX to AKL likely on March 24 on a prize letter pass from Air NZ. So far flights going to AKL look great, but returning March 31 is a different story.
Aside from the 2 AirNZ non-stops that day (both of which don't look great), they have a connection through Fiji with codeshare partner Air Pacific. Anyone know if this flight would be an option (don't mind spending half-day in Fiji)? Also, didn't AirNZ used to have an AKL-LAX 2-stop direct that went through Samoa and somewhere else? If so, would that be available? Any help getting back from AKL would be greatly appreciated.

You would have to be ticketed with two sectors and as a different airline the prize letter would not be valid. Not sure if you have an agreement with FJ?

Qantas also fly this route, I think 1 flight a day but same deal on the ticket.

NZ have dropped all of their Coral Route pairings with the exception, (I think) of a once weekly APW-LAX service. RAR PPT NAN as intermediate stops between AKL and LAX are all well gone.

They still run 2 weekly AKL-HNL & 2 weekly AKL-YVR nonstops. Although not back to "home", both are close enough for you to make your own arrangements from there.
