A 59-year-old security guard volunteered to help remove a 15-foot-long python near the Bali Hyatt hotel. It strangled him too quickly for bystanders to help.
BALI, Indonesia — A security guard was killed by a python Friday near a luxury hotel on Indonesia's resort island of Bali, a hotel employee said.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. as the 15-foot -long python was crossing a road near the Bali Hyatt hotel, said Agung Bawa, an assistant security manager at the hotel, which is closed for renovations until 2015.
