    Default Nonrev Special: Cathay Pacific Increases capacity HKG - DPS

    Cathay Pacific during the month of July has increased capacity on HKG - DPS, upgrading from a 777-300 to a 747-400 aircraft.

    HKG - DPS 1x daily from 7/10/16 - 7/31/16

    FLT#785 HKG 10:10am – 3:00pm DPS

    FLT#784 DPS 4:10pm – 9:05pm HKG

    Great news! Too bad we don't have a CX member here. That schedule is pretty nice, too. It's good to have options for HKG and BKK. Haven't tried SIN for years, but it worked well one time.

    This leg was the only leg we could not make on a trip around the world last summer. It was in June prior to the added capacity. Flight had only 4 open seats and 13 standby. Needless to say we did not make it. However Emirates was wide open. Emirates staff travel is top notch. Dubai has the best system Ive seen. Complete with their own staff travel counter and lounge that has an electronic board that lets you know when you can proceed to the gate. Wish we could have connected on Cathay to Hong Kong though. We plan to use CX this summer to HKG and PHK.

    CX have a dedicated staff travel counter in HKG, with around 8 flights a day HKG/BKK, Avoid chinese new year, November through to March is a good time for the cooler weather in Thailand, no problems with the political situation.
