Last week, a Cathay Pacific flight was delayed for more than three hours when a passenger onboard accidentally tore part of the ceiling down when he attempted to stow his luggage.

Cathay Pacific Flight CX705 was scheduled to take off from Hong Kong on a journey to Bangkok Wednesday when one of the passengers ripped a ceiling panel down when he thought it was additional storage.

At the time of the incident, there were 280 passengers on board the flight as it prepared for its takeoff time at 8:15 a.m. local time. Engineers were able to repair the damage caused by the passenger, and the plane was finally able to depart from HKG at 11:47 a.m. local time.

The male passenger was allowed to travel to BKK despite the damage he caused.
