Tickets for the maiden flight scheduled to take off on the inaugural day of Dec.9 from the newly constructed Kannur International Airport (CNN) to Abu Dhabi was sold out in an hour after opening for booking on Tuesday.
The Air India Express, the first airline to operate from the fourth international airport after Trivandrum, Kochi and Calicut, started ticket booking for the inaugural flight scheduled to depart at 12.40 pm and closed the booking at 1.35 pm on Tuesday after one hour. The ‘Express Value’ category of tickets have been completely sold out, while a few ‘Express Flexi’ tickets are awaiting takers.
Air India Express is flying a Boeing 737-800 with a seating capacity of 186 passengers. The tickets from Abu Dhabi to Kannur, which started at AED720, was also sold out in an hour.
Air India Express Chief Executive Officer KK Shyamsundar announced the ticket sales through the airliner’s official Facebook page on Tuesday.
Air India Express is flying a Boeing 737-800 with a seating capacity of 186 passengers.
