You gotta see OLD SAN JUAN. Park your car somewhere and just walk around the section. Go see the old Spanish forts. There are two. Fort San Cristobal, and Fort Felippe Morro. The latter one is the better one, and worth really seeing. I recommend eating in METROPOLIS restaraunt in ISLA VERDE, in front of the hotel section...very good place. We stayed at the DORADO beach area, about 45 minute drive from the airport. Can be tough during traffic. Didn't tour the island, not enough time, but if you have the time, you should.
