    Strong walls, LIGHT ROOFING. Strong walls, light roofing. Strong walls and light roofing. No buildings higher than three stories. No buildings higher than three stories. Take a look at San Jose Costa Rica. Where earthquakes are pretty prone. Follow their lead. Managua, all moved away from the downtown area. 4 fault lines passing through the heart of that city. The buildings are still left abandoned since 1972. Where there are mountains, faulty construction, poor concrete mix, no rebar, no building codes, people pay with lives.

    poor nation, ineffective governance.... can't expect building standards to be right up there, although I dare say anything replaced (?) will (hopefully) be built better.

    Can't believe they found someone alive after 15 days today... lucky girl

    Yes, I just read that. Amazing. Etinne or something like that 17 years old. I think I would have rather died instantly than to have to suffer for week or two and nobody finds you. That's a Sloooowwwwwww death.
