"I think Im going to re-route my trip, don't think anybody would flip if I go to L.A. via OMAHA"! I think Payton Manning and Charlie Daniels band have something very much in common.

Well, dang. I don't know how much you all follow football after the games during the weekend, but in case you didn't now. Payton Manning said "OMAHA" in the huddle out loud 44 times. Am I the only one that thinks that this is funny as .........@#@! I've heard him say this during his games for years, but suddenly, 44 times now makes the news. Maybe he said "OMAHA" more than usual this time???? Never mind.

Without even reading that link you provided, "OMAHA" is an audible. It is used to change a play in the line of scrimmage. Example.....when I say OMAHA that may mean that I want my wideouts running a certain pattern. If I see some funny stuff going on with their lining up on defense, I may change my audible to mean running the ball to the left part of the line for instance. Omaha can mean a certain play for a certain number of times, and changed on the spot or line of scrimmage to mean something else. Those that need explaining what "OMAHA" means as Payton yells it out probably never played football before nor understand the game because they never played football before. If I sense a blitz coming, I can throw in an audible like the color "SILVER" so that my linemen and running backs are aware that a blitz is coming, and therefore the wideouts know the quarterback is going to dump it fast to them so they should probably keep a short but sweet route to burn the blitzers. It's a way of communicating to your team to act upon an impending defensive action.

I was just seeing on "First Take" tv show that OMAHA STEAKS is offering him some money big time endorsement, to drop the brand's name during the Superbowl. So its possible that you may hear Payton Manning calling an audible like "OMAHA STEAKS, OMAHA STEAKS". (That's if....if....if......he gets by the Patriots this Sunday.)
They keep bombarding me for buisness all the time. I don't see any real greatness in their product. I can get better cuts of meat at the grocery store and fresher. I've had their shrimp, hotdogs, hamburgers, steaks, au gratin potatoes with a free radio or steak knives. I just threw away a day or two ago some of their junk mail.

What a cruddy game New England played against Denver. Brady looked bad, so did the defense. Could not keep Manning off the field for nothing. In fact, I must say that this was the worst game I have ever seen New England play in the playoffs. They litterly got their butts kicked. I'm disgusted. This was no fun watching for me. Ok, maybe New England is lacking alot of talent, and maybe everyone was too injured all season long and Brady had little to work with but how in the hell did they make it this far unless they've been underestimated. Sorry to say, they performed TERRIBLE today against Denver and I think they underachieved big time. As though they never practiced this week. Maybe Brady was sick missing the first day of practice? But the defense must have been sick too. I think San Diego did better performed better than New England. I'm disgusted. Too bad.
