I'm surprised no RIP's for this man, must have never watched The Rockford Files. I remember posting that tune here a while back.

Ok, here is the whole song from the Rockford Files Theme Song. Classic, they don't make em like this no more. Check out the harmonica and everything else.

You had me on that one at "they don't make them like this anymore" - don't know why, but you did. Pardon me if I've already posted it (don't think I have) but I really like this song. The video is a little, well, strange, but the song does have some things you don't really hear much anymore. Like a trumpet. And a piano. Overall, it sounds a lot like a classic rock kind of song, despite being made not too long ago.

Now Palms you know better, you gotta have the opening answering machine message.

Message left on machine : “Jim, thanks for taking little Billy fishing, he had a great time, Turns out he really wasn’t seasick. Um, have you ever had chicken pox?"
    (key the theme music)

Brian, you really have to listen to more jazz.

I have no problem with Jazz either! Though I probably should listen to it more, I did a lot in middle school.

Oh, and Palms: Look up Rodriguez sometime. His music is kind of Bob Dylan-esque if you're into that. But what's really fascinating is his story. Fizzled out in the US, somehow got as popular as Elvis in South Africa, but everyone thought he was dead. Eventually some people tried to find out how he died, and learned he's still alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9vtKFsYIzM has a quick summary of it.

Great, classics. But the song I posted in rpm 45 record or link I put here, was the song played in American Top 40 and on the radio. A much longer version and much better musically. Yea, I like the answering machine and all that but tune wise speaking, I liked the long version or RADIO version.

That's just a beat. It's an OK song. Something I may want to hear as I'm eating gumbo at a Louisiana seafood establishment. Not very orchestra like, musical and as creative and as hard to do as Rockford Files. Those composers and writers are a dying breed. Sorry to say.

Spongbue, you want "PATHETIC"? Here is pathetic, a disgrace, and shameful to its very existence. IGGY. Is that the best they can come up today in music? Really? IGGY? Before it was LADY GAGA, now IGGY? Give me a frikin break man. That sucks. A teen girl singing like a gansta rapper. World of music is going down the toilet. Gimme back the 1970's.
