Continental Airlines Announces New Hilo Routes



Earlier this afternoon, Continental Airlines announced two new routes from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Hilo on the Big Island. This is a big announcement for Hilo as they currently do not have any non-stop flights to the U.S. mainland. The last carrier to serve Hilo from the U.S. mainland was ATA. This will be very interesting as Hilo is one of the smaller airports in Hawaii. Looks like a good non-rev route.

Flights begin on June 9, 2011

Hilo - San Francisco (1x Week on Saturdays)Depart San Francisco 4:20pm – Arrive Hilo 6:40pm
Depart Hilo 9:20pm – Arrive San Francisco 5:20am

Hilo - Los Angeles ( Daily)
Depart Los Angeles 5:00pm – Arrive Hilo 7:40pm
Depart Hilo 8:55pm – Arrive Los Angeles 5:15am
