they ahve nets under the trees to prevent the fruit from killing people--it's very spiky as well as stinky.
It is illegal to take it on public transport in Bali. That says "something" and they don't even have cheap tequila there...
not too difficult to imagine THAT smell, added to fetid onions and vinegar.
if you like durian, great, if not, we're talking immediate projectile--I doubt there is a middle ground
