Job transfer to HNL, qurstions about relocation help
i recently accepted a position in honolulu as a gate agent and i currently work as a gate agent in atlanta. i have never relocated and dont know what to expect really. how much assistance does Delta offer its employees. and yes i know cost of living is higher there and all of that, i have family there and i have researched. i just need to know what assistance Delta provides.

I made two moves with Southwest and they paid for them because they were both promotions.
If you made a lateral move there, you were on your own.

if this is a move that you decided to make yourself talk to your manager and your HR rep to see what is available...we do get 90% discounts on cargo and that will help....when I transfered from DFW to FLL in 2005 (voluntary move) I was given several days off to make the drive and alloted 500lbs of cargo to ship some of my things...
thanks for the input, was the 500 lbs free and then apply the 90% discount for anything over the 500?
