Thread: DL 764 Emergency ATL 26AUG?

Anybody have any insight?

My EV flight landed on 10/28 appx 1915. As we taxied in, I noticed a DL 764 land on rwy 9L(The inside rwy used for departures) as opposed to 9R(The outside rwy used for arrivals). It stopped on the rwy and just sat there with the flaps still fully extended and 3 or 4 crash trucks chased it. My flight kept taxiing and I lost my view.

The 764s do only international flying now, and except the LHR flight, they should all be gone from ATL by about 1800. At first I thought it was pretty odd to see a 764 landing at 1930, then I realized it was on the inside rwy, then I saw the crash trucks rolling.

I'm thinking this was most likely an air return for a mx issue, but anybody know for sure, and which flight? Just curious
