Default ATL - LGW - ATL July 5-8 Understanding Standby List

Hi to all you wonderful non-revers!

If anyone has some insight into my situation, I'd be so grateful!

My hubbie is flying on company business to LGW and I was going to go along for fun (me: non-rev of course). The flight there looks like there is 1 seat available and the flight back shows -5 seats available. Looks grim!

Here is what's confusing to me. When I click on the "non-rev standby list" it shows the non-revers listed and then I click on the tab below called "airport standby list" and it says there are 12 business and 41 coach seats remaining. What does that mean? Does that mean there really could be a chance I would get on the flight?

It's summer, I do expect those flights to be full. I'm just wondering if the 12 business and 41 coach seats showing in the "airport standby list" is something I just need to ignore or is that really a clearer picture of what's available?

    MANY THANKS!!
    Bklinde

many of the coach numbers you see are unassigned seats and will likely be claimed. I see 3/3 on the first leg and that 12/-8 for return
You have a pretty good shot at getting biz on both. Good news is that they are still selling seats (au # is good to watch)
You have good seniority and being active helps. Use S2 if you have them.

I do have S2 available. As the departure day draws near, what should I be looking for the authorized or available seats? I have not traveled to England before and not sure if there are lots of no-shows for those flights.

    Thanks!

I doubt you'll have a bunch of no-shows since its high vacation time. Watch both of those numbers in conjunction. You are aware of the high nonrev cost, aren't you? It's about $115RT.
I see the first leg is looking kinda puny for seats
