Default non rev lax cincy or nyc

Thank you so much. Which route do you feel offers the best chance for biz upgrade? lax slc cdg, lax cvg cdg, or lax nyc cdg? Love the biz class!

    Default DTW CVG to CDG

Looks like DTW is added on Delta starting June. I am planning on arriving in Paris July 2, so which do you think offers my best hope? I just want on the plane, although Biz is always nice since my wife is going with me, we will be a pair, which complicates things...also, she has a small yorkie dog...never has been a prob before, but it is one more factor to push us...any idea which would be the best bet going over the atlantic? thanks in advance

July is peak travel time. Can't tell you anything until it gets closer to the date. What's the seniority of your employee? You could be in big trouble since there is an embargo on June 29 for 4th of July, which can cause buddy stackup. They can also add a date last-minute, like Sat 30th to really mess with you. Just be aware. Taking a dog nonrev? Are you nuts? Even I'm not that crazy! Sorry, but I don't think it's very wise. There is a pet limit/flight--you will be last after any revs.

yes, the doggie is a pain, but we have done it before, and no problems. but i am aware if three dogs are on craft, i am bumped. what can i say, i am crazy...
so do you know the blackout dates? smoeone on another board said july 1 was blacked out, but the pdf from delta didn't indicate that. looks like the dtw or cvg are the ways...btw, flight 44 is a direct from LA...if you are on direct, do you have to do the whole ticketing process at the stopping point, or are you on for the whole flight? thanks so much for the help!

Embargoes are June 29 (MY BIRTHDAY!!) and July 8 SO FAR. At least you have self-certified your sanity w/doggie. (Of course, it doesn't bark, right?) sneeeeeeeeeeeeeze.
Agent should clear you thru on 44 for both flights but you can be removed for employees/retirees etc before the second leg (I saw it happen in Dakar)
Good luck--"and your little dog, too!"

Default looks like we made it!

Well, we went LAX DTW DTW CDG, and we actually made it! No bumps, and the Westin in DTW made the transfer very nice. Lots of DL pilots and stews were staying at the hotel...We plan on going back 21-28 of August...I looked at DL online availability, but it doesn't always tell the whole picture...any guess on which day to shoot for out of CDG? We will probably stay in DTW for a day or two or three, so the pressure is less, because the hotel is in the airport...I appreciate your help!

All of those dates are good (25th has the fewest seats). short list but it's so early to predict. You also have CDG/CVG as a good option.
Hotel row in DTW is only a mile from airport and you can walk from Sheraton (nice pool) to eats safely. Several others there. Wick and Merriman Roads. Cheap but decent is Comfort Suites w/Marcoz restaurant on premises. I f you do CVG you have DoubleTree on airport grounds but plenty about a mile away. All free shuttles. Not worth spending more than a day @ either in my opinion (unless you rent a car and see sights, but DTW cars have been $50-600 wkend day lately--no specials.
