    Post Tribute To A Pilot

Captain Calvin Flanigan - Delta senior pilot, retired after nearly 45 years with Delta.
Captain Flanigan began his aviation career in 1968 as a Delta mechanic and used “…any extra money” for flying lessons.”
In 1976 “Cal” realized his dream and became a pilot for Delta.
In 45 years with Delta, Captain Flanigan never missed a day of work or used a single sick day.
In 37 years, Captain Flanigan has flown more than 12.5 million miles and amassed some 27,000 hours of flight time- Delta’s most senior pilot for almost eight years.

    Job well done Captain- Congratulations

I do admire this guy's longevity as a DL employee, but I question the "reality" of this:
"Captain Flanigan never missed a day of work or used a single sick day"
I could guess he did plenty of personal drop days in lieu of sick days, then picked up green slips to fly on days off. I certainly hope he didn't fly when he was sick...

Not sure if DL pilots can do it but at AA, pilots can call in "fatigued". Still, nice to hear about someone working in a job he loves.

His personality comes thru on the videos. I could read his enthusiasm and dedication in his face and voice.
