DELTA comencing 11/3/13 plans to introduce NEW Boeing 737-900ER aircraft to its operation. The Skyteam member currently plans to launch first Boeing 737-900ER service on ATL-SFO flight and ATL-DTW the same day.The 737-900ER is configured in 20 First Class and 160 Economy Class seats(same cap as their 757-200).

The interior of this aircraft has been outfitted with the modern Boeing Sky Interior (BSI) that features enhanced mood lighting. In First Class the seats have been completely redesigned and made more comfortable by adding extra layers of foam padding and more full side bolsters.
