    Default Frequent TripAdvisor Query

Often asked: Does Delta serve alcohol on overseas routes?
    Recent answer:
"Delta operates out of Salt Lake City, which as you know is Mormon Hq so it's a dry airline.

Also, no advance seat booking since space needs to be reserved for the normal 7 or 8 wives of each Mormon frequent flyer. You'll have to fit in around them.
Entertainment consists of a Book of Mormon hardback, an on sets back TV a continuous rerun of The Bible by Cecill B de Mille, and Moses starring Charlton Heston."

Oh, my. I'm sure they thought they were being funny but that is definitely different.

I got a chuckle out of it. It reminds me of how there's a myth that Coca Cola is owned by the Mormons (who are technically not supposed to drink caffeine).

How about this: when you fly the middle east three, EK etc, you're indirectly aiding the islamist terrorists.
    Okay let the flaming begin

Ha--it was deleted and a flame war did follow briefly. I just posted it because it's clever, even tho HQ is not SLC. Didn't know that one about Atlanta Champagne tho, Frapos. For real--when I flew Egypt Air in 95, they had little mini cartons of wine splits at the jetway for pax to bring on board. FA chilled our whites but she said she could not serve them herself--fair enough. Of course, in those days, the entire cabin was filled w/smoke...

Don't all your FA's wear fur parkas and serve drinks in sno cones for cabin service? Maybe I get whale blubber if I buy first class?

And all the AF FA's look like these:

And still hoping for my caviar and champagne on my next AF flight--those are all from Paris, too?

I'm pretty sure I'm expecting those beach babies on my first Air New Zealand flight, too. But I might steer clear of the falling tribbles on our last DL video...
Poking fun at stereotypes and misconceptions helps mere mortals clarify reality. God love sarcasm--but, after all, I believe God is the greatest comedian ever.
