Default AMS - Amsterdam "BUDDY PASS" Restrictions

Once there were BUDDY PASS restrictions and then there were none “BUT”
    Copied from another forum:
……..Heads up for those who may not have seen this alert !
Buddy Pass travel exit AMS (Amsterdam) is not permitted during the following time periods: From May 10 through May 20 and from June 2 through June 10 due to a new centralized security process change in AMS. From July 3 through July 20 due to peak summer airport construction at the AMS airport.
It does pop up when you go to list and is under the embargos BUT since we all knew embargoes had been eliminated last year.. would not occur to check.. We found when checking loads and thought good to let all know !

I just listed a friend AMS - ATL with no issues. Landed 2 days ago in ATL and leaving back 5/15. Wow her timing was perfect..

OK well not so new news but you know TRAVELNET does have its ups and downs.
Better to be multiple exposed to this info rather than not see it and then suffer
the consequences resulting in getting all bent out of shape and flustered with
that highly regarded wonderfully splendid Buddy Pass program !

Of course, there will still be Dumb Buddies who didn't get the message from the employees...
My niece and her hubby are paranoid about AMS next wk, since they would be cutting it close by 2 days! Smart nonrevs who are flying LHR instead, despite the cost difference.

they might decide to stay an extra day in London. They drove a rental car to Edinburgh but they are smart cookies when it comes to nonrev. I never worry about them and I just change flts as needed. they are quite spoiled when it comes to biz class, so they'll figure it out!!
