I don't know how good they are as a resource, but NonRevCheckin.com just announced that DL is now allowing them to access data again.
Here's their announcement:
Well we finally did it. We have American and Delta airlines back in the system! If you were a past member of the web site, look to the bottom of this email for an limited time offer to come back.
Now you can get Passenger Seat Information on AAL and DL among 130 plus other airlines around the world. We also updated a new feature called the Seat Estimator. The Seat Estimator is the number of standbys we estimate will get on the flight. If you see a "+" next to the number, then it will be at least this number and could be a lot higher.
We still show our trademarked PSA (Passenger Seat Availability) categories. The PSA is calculated based on typical no shows, miss connects, weight restrictions and other factors. Using the both the Seat Estimator and PSA, you will get a great idea of your chances of making a flight.
Common Questions
"So if the Seat Estimator shows 3 seats and the PSA says Oversold, what does that mean?"
We believe that 3 standbys will get on. However, if flights are running very well for that hub/route and the connecting flights to that hub/route, then this number could go down. In other words, the odds of miss connects and no shows is low but could still happen.
"How do you get your data and is it very accurate?"
We get our information from several sources including the airlines and a major GDS. (Global Distribution System). For our PSA and Seat Estimator we look at historical data we have been tracking for years, factoring in current trends, to get the most accurate information available to you. We have tested the system numerous times against the "smiley" faces on MyIDTravel and our information is hands down more accurate.
New Feature - Travel Planner
If you haven't seen or used it yet, we invite you to explore our newest feature called the Travel Planner under our Vacation Planner tab. This feature gives you the power to plan out trips in the future knowing what the loads will be. Have you ever asked yourself -
- "When is the best time of the year or month to go to Hawaii? Europe? St. Thomas?"
- "What is the best way to commute to my base?"
- "What are the best days to commute?"
Based on years of historical data we have been compiling, we can forecast what the load factor will be for more than 210 airlines (AA, DL, UA, US, SW, LH, AF plus many more) flying within and to/from the United States from all around the world.
