We are going to Barcelona in the first part of November. I have never traveled there non-rev and wondered if anyone had clues or tips as to the best way to make DFW-BCN work?

    Thanks!

I do not know who WN has agreements to Europe. Though if you can get to London there is regular service out of most of the airports.
We drove from Madrid to Barcelona. It was an easy interstate drive with helpful friendly people along the way. Flight service from MAD to BCL is also available.
You may wish to check with Randy under the Chicago Corrspondant forum. He flys non-rev international often and he is also employeed by WN.
Let me know if you need further travel assistance.

    Hi there fellow WNer!

Coyne send me an email telling me about your post. I only have a couple of suggestions. First of all no one that I know of flies nonstop from dfw to bcn so no matter who you take you'll have to connect. Our ageement with AA at the moment does not include Europe so that option is out and if I remember correctly our IB agreement was recently cancelled. Sooo...

First, let me recomment Open Skies Interline Vacation at www.openskiesonline.com for a package with space-a air and hotel at a very reasonable price. Other than that here are the air options that I can think of. DL from DFW connecting in ATL; BA (bad agreement though) thru London (LGW I think); LH thru FRA. Depending on flight loads I would probably choose LH connecting in FRA. Just be prepared to get bumped on LH as many of their flights have high loads out of the US. I have flown them on a couple of occasions and have had to factor in an extra day or two.

Call the Pass Bureau for price quotes on any of the above. One more thing, call Barbara at HOU pilot base to see if she has any passes to trade that are valid for BCN. Her OPX is 468-2158. You might want to make note of which airlines fly into BCN (not just the ones I mentioned) before you call her.
