CSSUP,
Might I say, what a good choice to go to Ireland. I lived there for a few years and have been back with my wife later. You will NOT need any reservations in Ireland. There is a b&b every where you turn and the rates are great. The best thing to do is just go in and ask to see the room. If you dont like it, move on and find another. They all vary in style but are mostly the same. As for things to see, it depends on what your interests are.. visit www.shamrock.org
and that will give you several ideas. but I would suggest seeing the Blarney Castle and a Must is a tour of the waterford crystal building. you get to see how the crystal is made and watch as they blow the glass. also take a walk in down town Dublin. It has a lot of shopping and at the ends of the main street they have statues and if you look closely at them, you will see the bullet holes from when they were having war in Dublin.
There are so many other things to do, I just dont know where to lead you. Take a good camera and if you have one, take a digital camera. then you can load up on pictures and decide what to keep when you get back. Hey, also drop in to a little shop and buy a drink called Lilt. it is great. it has pinnapple juice in it. great tasting soda pop.
Enjoy and come back and let us know how it was.
