Did a search for your dates in our hotel search and came up with Best Western Corona for 79.95 - 109.95 on your dates. The description says that it is walking distance from Victoria Station:

This looks like a pretty good event guide:

I just got back from London yesterday (Feb. 10)...I stayed in Victoria...The Thistle Victoria...wonderful 4 star hotel. This hotel is connected to the Victoria Station..it was a GREAT location. http://www.thistlehotels.com/main/hotel/th...toria/index.xml

An "interline company" offered it to my airline for just £50/night(about $80USD)..it was great. See if your airline pass bureau has any deals.

Also... this is a good site for events and such..

Hi, the Timeout link as per Chris' post is the best all-round guide, and the Thistle Victoria is one of the most notable in Victoria. For smaller and/or cheaper, you may want to try the links on http://www.nonrev.net/groupee/forums?a=tpc...999&m=646604233 (scroll down and you will come to them)

As for this weekend, be aware that on Saturday 15 much of central London will be clogged up with a Stop the War demo, ending in Hyde Park, you may want to steer clear of (or indeed join, depending on your point of view).

Also be aware that there has been a specific security threat at Heathrow since this morning, so try not to be too phased by the guns and tanks when you arrive. This is being linked on the TV with the festival of Eid and the return of pilgrims from the Hajj, both of which run from now to the end of the week. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/2747677.stm

Stay tuned for my next uplifting message !!

Hi Luv
Very interesting, but I want to know if you rode the Tube? Lets hear about the joys of mass transportation. Uh-huh, I remember your earlier posts.

*hides face in shame* well... I cheated big time Migflanker and was co-dependent on my London friend. I just had him take me all around London...took the buses, underground, train, subway...you name it!! He was going to have me go back to the airport on my own on Monday, but I begged him to please change his work schedule to take this pitiful American girl to Heathrow!! Yes... there are joys to mass transportation when I am following someone around!! Give me that mass transportation in the sky and I can handle getting on a plane by myself! Buses, trains, subways...and I panic!!!!
