OK, I'm totally new to posting to a discussion group and new to non-reving to Europe. I've read some of the postings and find that there is a lingo that I am not entirely up on. Anyway, I will be traveling to Paris or London with my 17 yr old daughter in June/July. We want to non-rev. Getting there doesn't concern me too much because we will be together and I have family in NYC and BWI (originating from NM). But, my daughter will be flying home alone from Lon or Paris two weeks later than me. Is this going to be impossible? What airline do you recommend to try first? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

What is your airline? Are you the employee or are you using some sort of buddy pass from a family member who works for the airlines? This helps to know to be able to make some suggestions.

My husband works for SWA and we have inter-line agreements with DL, NWA, CO and a few others. I have also been able to nail down my plans a little bit more -- We will make Paris our ultimate destination because we have family there thus making waiting for available flights a lot less stressful. We can leave from NYC, PHL, BWI, ORD, or just about any stateside gateway. We plan to leave around June 7th, I will return to the states around June 28th, and my daughter will return mid-July.

    Thanks for any suggestions!

Did you make it to Europe? I'd like to know how it went because we are looking to go this summer. Any tips you could pass along would be great.
    Thanks!

Oh boy most of those airlines are one and out and I would try hard to avoid ATL. No agreements with AF/LH?.

A tip to Non-Rev to Europe is to depart on a Tue/Wed and come back Tue/Wed/Thur. Oh, and be at an airport where the same airline who's ticket your holding also flies to other states close to where you want to go. You don't want to be at an airport with only one or two flights a day to the states.

Please guys give me a hand here I trying go in Honeymoon and I don't have acess to the DL computer. I just want know if I'm crazy or I can fly that route without fear. Those tickets to ATH are very high $2,200.00 RT ans I can't pay that kind of money.
Thanks guys, any question about SJU you can send a eimail and I will glad of help you!

    Thanks.

I've done non-rev to France and back once, in mar 05, and getting back from CDG was a nightmare (see my Europe post in "RE: non rev website for euro travelin" Mar 24, 05) Agree w Venusfan that one-and-outs are dicey. As for getting back on AF, even if you DO have an agreement, see my post. Flywithoutreservation has a good long Europe post "Atlanta to Europe on DL" well worth reading, she (or he?) suggests alternate Europe gateways: BRU, ZCH, STU; of course for that you'd need agreements with European carriers to get there. From France, DL also has NCE-JFK, but also only once a day. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
