Did someone get back to you regarding how to get to Savona? We're cruising out of Savona on 2/9, but will be going from Genoa. I've been reading that the train is the best way. I know it also goes from Milan to Genoa. Dont know if there's one directly from Milan to Savona.
What cruise are you taking?
Hi Sandi, Malpensa airport is 30 miles from Milan. The trains run every 30 minutes and then it is a 40 minute ride into Milan to get to the train station. I don't see how you could possibly make a same day sailing as you never know how long customs would take and if the ship sails at 5pm, you need to be checked in etc. Are you non-rev to Milan- if so, could you go a day early? Easier than trying to catch the ship if you miss your conx to Savona. Timetables are at italiarail.com. Hth. Pat

As above its quite a hike from Milan to Savona in an afternoon. If you can fly into Genoa it would make life simpler for you. If not then are you flying into Malpensa or Linate .. you might be able to get an internal flight down to Genoa.
