Thread: CDG or LHR?

LGW carries an $80 departure tax, CDG is probably like $30. I've never been, and can't advise you much about these places.

Anyway, I am with NW and the tax they took out for my trip to CDG was about $61.
LHR is a lot higher.
It will be cheaper to CDG because, even though it is not much, the Euro goes farther than the pound.

I&#39;ve opted for CDG and even found a hotel near the airport for 61 E for both nights -

Now, what to DO in that short time?

Which hotel?
Etap, Ibis, or Formule 1? Those are decent but I would not stay near CDG. It is too far from the city, especially if you want to see a lot in a short time.

The must see attractions are obviously the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, and Arc de Triomphe.
With a short trip, I suggest a hop on/hop off bus tour.

It&#39;s the Première Classe Roissy - Villepinte Parc des Expositions - I wanted something close in and easy to find for my first trip....

If you get one at CDG ( zones 1-6 ) then the trip from CDG to the city centre of Paris et v.v. is included which is normally EUR 8 each way which makes the card even better value ( depends how long you are there ).

Really, I&#39;d rather just go SEA AMS than SEA DTW AMS or worse, SEA MSP DTW then either AMS or CDG or at this point, SEA MEM AMS....
