Right at the top I have to say that all info is from my sister-in-law who hated ( oh yeah that's the word she used) Paris, but loved Lyon.

Best views - Fourviere Cathedral, it's on a hill overlooks the city -- Loved it
Best place to wander around, Vieux Lyon (old town)
Best meal, Lyon salad
Fun place - peniches, nights clubs that started out as boats.
